Tino Aiello
Tino Aiello, a young potter, has found his creative home in the legendary workshop of Roger Capron in Vallauris. He has mastered the art of pottery, taking it to new creative heights. Tino Aiello is the worthy successor of a family with a seven-generation legacy of potters, originating in Sicily and continuing in Vallauris.
His grandfather Tino, father Carmelo, and uncle Philippe all upheld the culinary pottery tradition. Tino's destiny seemed inevitable, having grown up in workshops and done his homework on pottery boards amidst the earthy aroma.
However, a crucial apprenticeship with Gérard Crociani solidified his life's path. After obtaining his CAP (Professional Certificate) independently, Tino honed his skills for three years under the guidance of Gérard Crociani and his father Carmelo.
These mentors recognised his talent, believed in his star, and nurtured his craft. Despite the pottery's challenges, Tino briefly pursued an administrative career, devoting his evenings and leisure time to the family workshop. This pause allowed him to reflect and reaffirm his deep-seated passion for ceramics. For generations, the art of ceramics has been intertwined with their values, passed down from father to son. They are committed to preserving this heritage, infusing it with passion, precision, and technique to provide unique, authentic, and high-quality products.
